Get to know Kerri better…Interview by Blessed Bodies with KerriBB: When did you start working with Team Blessed Bodies and what inspired you to do so? KJ: I started working with Team Blessed Bodies February 2011. I was inspired to do so because I was 38 and 40 was just around the corner! I had always wanted to compete and felt that if I did not try to do it now I may never. I had always been inspired by Gladys Portugues, Corey Everson and Monica Brant. Seeing Fatima’s clients made me think maybe it was possible!
BB: What is your favorite cheat food? KJ: Chocolate!!! Anything with chocolate!BB: How often do you indulge? KJ: I indulge in a treat like this once per weekBB: What is your favorite non-cheat food?   KJ: Roasted sweet potatoes or Oatmeal with Chocolate protein powder and hazelnut butter.BB: What is your favorite go to menu for the day? KJ: My favourite go to menu for the day usually looks like this:
Meal 1: Banana oatmeal pancakes with nut-butter, coffee with soy milk
Meal 2:  Fruit with nut butter
Meal 3: a lean meat brown rice and mixed greens
Meal 4: Mixed pepper. Cucumber, tomatoes and onion olive oil and balsamic vinegar
Meal 5: Lean meat, roasted potato (yam or sweet potato, or regular) salad with braggs and flax oil
Meal 6: Oatmeal, chocolate protein powder and nut butterBB: What do you love most about being part of Team Blessed Bodies? KJ: What I love most about being part of the Team Blessed Bodies is the supportive and encouraging environment. Very positive women!BB: What do you love most about the Fitness Print plan? KJ: What I love most about the FitnessPrint plan is what I get to eat!! It is very flexible, real food and I do not feel deprived.
BB: What is your biggest challenge with the plan? KJ: Organization! Let’s say I am more of a creative person than an organized one. I overcome this by having some very simple go to meal plans when I have failed to be organized!BB: What is your greatest accomplishment while working with Team Blessed Bodies? KJ: My greatest accomplishment is challenging the belief (mine) that you have to be “perfect” to compete and just enjoying the process. Working on my own individual potential. Who knew that by “competing” and having my body “judged” I compare myself less to others and feel more comfortable with the less than perfect aspects of my body!
BB: What are your current fitness goals? KJ: My current fitness goal is to build muscle for IDFA 2013. BB: What is your competition history? KJ: I competed for the first time November 11, 2011.
